With more than a decade of military experience, a fifteen-month combat deployment in Iraq, awards for national security matters, and an active Top Secret clearance, Jason Wright has the knowledge, the experience, and the courage to handle any national security matter.

Mr. Wright’s recent matters include:

  • Advise a defense contractor on matters requiring a Top-Secret Security Clearance on intelligence laws and authorities under Title 50 and related areas of national security law.
  • Consult on due process challenges to counter-terror designations (SDN list) and related sanctions imposed by the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
  • Represented, as a DoD appointed JAG public defender, the lead defendant in 9/11 death penalty case, Khalid Sheik Mohammad (KSM). (U.S. v. Mohammad, et al., U.S. Military Commissions, 2011-2014).
  • Won the release and repatriation of innocent Guantánamo Bay Afghan detainee Obaidullah, an international cause célèbre and campaign of Amnesty International (2016).
  • Won challenges to adverse security clearance adjudications before the Departments of Defense, Navy, and State.
  • Represented individuals facing federal employment termination in the “Navy SEAL Silencer Case” (2015).
